A live question and answer session with the public, committee members, and Board of Education will be held on February 19, 2018 at 5:00 p.m.
There will be tours of the current facilities that are being addressed in the bond issue from 5:00 to 6:30. View the Bond Open House Order of Events.
The presentation of the bond along with a Question and Answer session will begin at 7:00. This will take place in the High School Commons Area after touring the facilities.
The bond proposal will provide a wide range of improvements across campus including:
• A New Multi-Purpose Building
• A New Elementary And Safe Room Addition
• Renovations And Repairs To The Existing Auditorium
• New Home Grandstands, Press Box And Visitors Bleachers
• New Ag-Ed Building
• New Running Track.
The new multi-purpose building will address a multitude of problems. The building will have heat and air and will be used daily by the elementary for physical education classes, assemblies, and other meetings. This facility will also be available for community activities, as well.
With new 5th and 6th grade locker rooms, new varsity, Jr. High, and visitor
locker rooms the students will have new facilities that will allow room, privacy and efficiency. Coaches’ offices, a film room and a weight room that is conducive to both the girls and boys athletic programs with state of the art
equipment will be housed within the complex.
A second story will allow for a large storage area to house P.E. and athletic gear and supplies. Also included will be a new concession stand for football games that will allow better and faster service to the fans. Visitors’ restrooms will round out the items contained within the facility.
The new Elementary School will allow for more classrooms, updated technology, and a safe room that will house all of the Elementary students.
Renovations include improving the lobby, restrooms, and classrooms.
Repairs include a new TPO Roof, stage floor, and new stage curtains.
A new home grandstand will provide seating for up to 1,024 spectators with modern handicapped facilities.
The new Ag-Ed building will have new and improved areas.
A track is proposed to be constructed near our current athletic facilities. The facility is designed to have eight lanes.
